Communication and language
Language instruction may be provided in a specialized Remmon Academy school or as a general education course. We employ a variety of techniques while instructing in communication and language.

Three “approaches” in particular are:
- According to the structural perspective, meaning is encoded in language via a system of structurally connected parts (e.g. grammar).
- According to the functional perspective, language can be used to convey ideas or carry out certain tasks, such as making requests.
- The interactive perspective emphasizes the patterns of movements, acts, negotiation, and interaction present in conversational exchanges as a means of establishing and maintaining social relationships.
